In early 2018, founder Chris Gibbs lost the most influential man in his life, his father Luther O. Gibbs Jr. His mother and father taught him the importance of education coupled with a well-rounded portfolio. Thanks to their parents, Christopher and his brothers, Terence and Trayshon (deceased), were always afforded the opportunities to be involved in beneficial extra-curricular activities and sports.
From the beginning up until his passing, Mr. Gibbs was a huge supporter of THE GLORI FOUNDATION, and used his experience in education to help his son “MAKE A DIFFERENCE” in the lives of children. He was always willing to help with classes, tutoring and after-care.
In honor of his late father, this scholarship fund will be a programs and activities fund to be awarded to students wanting to participate in wholesome extracurricular activities / clubs / groups / sports, whose grades support their sense of responsibility, but their families may not be financially able to pay the fees and costs associated with these opportunities.
